Friday 29 November Week 7

Hello,
This morning we did the marshmallow/spaghetti challenge which you had 1 metre of sellotape, 1 metre of string, 20 spaghetti sticks and a marshmallow. You had 18 minutes and you got to choose your group of 4 and I was with Pera, Pippa and Emilia. We decided to do a triangular prism with some sticks pointing upwards but then we had a flat square that we didn't know what to do with so we put that upward so that you could look through the square. It was all good until we put the marshmallow on and it fell off so we kept the bottom and took off the top and just put the marshmallow on the triangle, It didn't fall over but then we got another two minutes so we made a couple of changes but it fell over and we only had like 30 more seconds so it fell on the table. We didn't get ours judged but I think the tallest one in room 5 was about 27 cm.

Bye!

Tuesday 5 November Air force Museum

Hello everyone!
I have had a wonderful experience today at the Air-force museum there were lots of fun activities like a scavenger hunt, behind the scenes that included jumping out of a plane onto what was meant to be an ocean but was a mat like the one we use for high jump. The last thing we did was learning about the person that got the Victoria Cross award, he was called James Ward and he put a fire out in the middle of the night during a storm when the plane was flying. The thing that I liked seeing most was the plane that the queen flew in, it had a velvet path into it and I could see that it had little curtains to block the light out. Another thing that I liked was looking at the old and new workshops and the storage place that they keep the planes that they can't fit into the museum. In the storage space, there was a plane which you could see the cockpit and it had a couple of the old seats, the plane was also on a very big lean just like one were we could jump out. The other interactive plane was something like a helicopter and it had about 9 seats, not including the two seats in the cockpit The seats were old and creaky when you sat down in the seats. The Air force museum was very fun and interesting and I am very happy that we went there.

Bye everyone!

Weekly update Friday 20 September

Hello everyone!

On Thursday the 19 of September, we had our production and it was called "Goodbye My Friend" and it was about 4 year 8's on their last day of primary school looking back at their school life while waiting for the bus to arrive at the bus stop. There were 81 speaking roles and the main role had 367 lines to learn. The number went up to 9 for scenes but there was no scene 6 for some reason. The song that I did was in scene 5 and was called "The Pats Blues" and we had to wear our full school uniform with a dressing gown for the start. My favourite scene was scene 7 the nativity scene the called Jesus Chesus and Joseph Jovush. The production is every second year so I only have 1 production left which is sad but every other year the years 5-8 go camping so I am really excited for next year.

Thank you for reading, Millie.

Friday 30 August Weekly update

Hello everyone!

A couple of weeks ago was our market day and I was with Bella making bracelets. Our company's name is BB standing for Bead Bracelets. We had about 40 bracelets to sell and they were $1-2 each. We had about 10 left at the end. We made about 60 dollars and once we had sorted it all out we had 16 dollars in profit. This is our stand and what it looked like:

Last week we finished Cantamaths so I will tell you about it. So we have problem-solving groups and we used them for our Cantamaths groups. I was with Eilish, Justin T and Xander for the first group and for my second group (which I still have) is just a group of three who are Isaac B and Nicholas. We are a good team. But there is not a picture of it.

This term we are doing the Production and I am doing a song called The Sats Blues but Mr Grant changed it to The Pats Blues so now it is very confusing. The play that we are doing is called Goodbye My Friends and I only know a few songs which are called Hey TA, Yucky Stuff and another one called something like My Daily Routine. I am in the front row of my song next to Pippa and Molly who are both my friends so that is good.

Goodbye!

Weekly update

Hello Everyone!

For inquiry me and Bella are making rainbow pottery. So our plan is to make pottery by hand an paint it just before it dries. It will be sold for $3 a small thing, like plates and bowls. There will be sets so one will be red one will be orange one will be yellow etc.

But now I will tell you about Middleton Grange.  So they came on Wednesday and there was a BIG drum for the orchestra and then there was a jazz band with a drum boy called Cameron that came. The last time they were here and everyone really liked him and once they touched him they said that they will never wash their hands again.

Goodbye!

Weekly update week 4

Hello Everyone!

Today I will be showing you my Inquiry about saving the eels. In this photo it is black and white but we have changed the pictures to coloured ones. I did it with Amy and Bella, Bella printed it out, Amy laminated it and I made the sign so we all participated in it.

But since this is a weekly update I will tell you more about the week.

So yesterday we did Winter sports (I played Netball) and unlike last week we had good weather finally which was very good. We won by 3 I think. In my team there were Lola, Bella, Milan, Mira, Pippa and Hannah.

Goodbye!
