Weekly update week 3

Hello everyone!

Today (Friday 17 May) is Pink shirt day! Most people have come to school in a pink shirt to try stop bullying. I think I know the story so I will tell you what I know. So this boy got teased for wearing a pink shirt to school. When the teachers noticed they set up a thing that on May 17 people have to wear pink shirts, this became famous so now most people wear pink shirts on this particular day to stop bullying. Yesterday the people that had a bye for Winter Sports made signs for pink shirt day but the people that had to go to Winter Sports (me) had to play in rain and have leaves chopping at your feet from the trees.

Weekly Update Term 2

Hello everyone welcome to term 2!

On Wednesday 8 May we did Cross Country. Me and Bella made a plan to run together at all times so we came third or fourth to last I think. We had to run 2 K's and I did not like it at all.

The next day (Thursday) we did the Catholic Sports tournament. I played Netball and Emilia, Maddie, Ruby, Reagan, Greta and Milan were in my team. We played some really tough people like somebody punched Greta in the mouth!

There was also a team we didn't play them but it was meant to be a fun day but this coach if you dropped the ball or anything you would give the ball to the other team.

End of Term Reflection

It is the end of Term 1 today so here is what I have loved this term:

The highlight for me was the Caritas day challenge because we got to be creative and build houses out of cardboard boxes and Global play day because you get to bring toys or something in to play with.

That is some of the things but this year has been amazing.

Holy Week

Hello Everybody!!

This week we have been learning about Holy week and what Jesus went through when he was crucified. 

I have learned that the last Sunday in Lent is now called Passion Sunday and not Palm Sunday. This is because it is the beginning of Passion Week and we are remembering the Passion of our Lord.

Caritas Challenge Friday 5 April

Hello Everyone!


On Thursday we did the Caritas challenge, what we did was we had a small portion of rice for lunch and we made box houses out of cardboard. I was with Bella, Mira and Amy and what was really surprising was that we could all fit in there at the same time! Amy kept on pulling the roof down because she was leaning on the walls so we had to keep on fixing it. The bad thing was that the wind came and was blowing our hut down so someone had to sit in it at all times. Here is a link of my scratch that I made about it: My Scratch

Koftball Weekly update

Hello everybody!

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we were playing  Koftball which is basketball and netball together.

We started playing it with Youri and then on Thursday we had Ben I think it was but they were from the Netherlands it was bacillary netball except you could dribble the ball. It was really fun and I would definitely play it again.

Don the Eel scientist

Hello everyone!

Today Don came in and he told us about Eels so here are so facts that I have taken:

• Slime lets them through small spaces
• Long fin, short fin, moray and Australian astir are different types 
• That Eels are actually fish
• Eels can grow up to 2 meters 
• They can go backwards and forwards
• They are cannibals  - t hey eat almost anything
• Long fin Eels spend a lot of time hiding
• They grab on to their prey and spin around about 10 times per second
• Eels come up from under and sucks up food
• Eels evolve  from other types of eels
• Eels can breath through their skin
• They use ear bones and cut them up to see how old they are
• Eels get another ring each year
• Eels can grow up to 112 years old
• Females are bigger than male
• Males grow up to 50 centimetres long
• Females have 7-20 million eggs each year 
• A big female might have 40-50 million eggs each year
